Saxophones - Flute
In Locomotion Since: 2011
Frank started playing music in the 4th grade, where he was so awful, he actually got thrown out of the music program! He wanted a shiny trombone and got a clarinet instead. Luckily, he managed to turn that around once he discovered the saxophone!
While in high school, Frank studied clarinet, saxophone, and flute at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, and graduated from the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
He has taught woodwinds in the public school systems of Rocky Hill, Cromwell, Terryville, UCONN Community School of the Arts, and taught at the undergrad level while a grad. assistant at CCSU. Frank presently maintains an active teaching studio out of his home.
Highlights of his performance credits include: James Daniel Orchestras, Caribbean tour with Carnival Cruise Lines, European and Israeli tour with the Broadway Show "A Chorus Line", Barnum and Bailey Circus, Boston and Atlantic City runs of the show "Lullabye of Swing", Bobby Kaye Big Band, Al Gentile Orchestra, Top Brass with Dianne Mower, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Milton Berle, Motown Revue, Major Motion, Street Temperature, Northern Rhythm, Avenue Groove, Marcel and the Metropolitans, and can often be heard with his own jazz band entitled Frankenfrenz.
