Chris began his musical career studying clarinet and saxophone under Roland Rizzo. During High School, Chris was selected as a member of the Connecticut All State Band, Northern Regional Symphony and was nominated for The McDonald's All Amercian Band - a nation wide search.

In addition, he won the Music Cup and John Philip Sousa awards for musical achievement. He then went on to tour Europe with The United States Collegiate Wind Band as their principal clarinetist.

During his college days, Chris played Lead Alto Sax in his college's Jazz Band. Other credits include performing for Berlin Repertory Company musicals such as "Anything Goes", "Gypsy", "Fiddler On The Roof", "Guys and Dolls", "The Pajama Game", "Promises, Promises", and "Babes In Arms". He was also the Musical Director for the Candlelite Cabaret Theatre and performed with Frank Gorshin, "The Riddler" in the Batman series.

His influences include Tower of Power, Steely Dan, Lenny Pickett, and David Sanborn.
