Jim trained for his professional career at the Hartford Conservatory of Music and the Hartt School of Music studying both jazz guitar and music theory. Since 1990, Jim has been a studio guitarist with I.C.G. Productions, responsible for composing and recording guitar segments for various commercials and jingles.
He teaches guitar in a varitey or musical styles including Jazz, Blues, Rock, Top 40 and Classical.
Jim's versatility enables him to play in Dinner Theatre Orchestras where some of his credits include: Grease, Anything Goes, Fiddler on the Rood, Godspell, Mame and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Notably, Jim played with the band Inner City Groove and opened for Spyro Gyra and The Five Satins. The band also released a single on Skyline Records entitled Love Can't Wait.
